WE ORGANIZE RAFTING TOURS AND OTHER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DAILY

OUR RAFTING CENTER DRINA-TARA IS LOCATED AT THE END POINT OF ALL OUR RAFTING TOURS AND ALL THE ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN ORGANIZED SO THAT THEY END EXACTLY HERE.

During the rafting tours the guests are taken to the starting point by our vehicles, usually it is 25km upstream from our camp. After short instructions from our skippers, the guests are taken to our Rafting Center Drina-Tara by boats-rafts where they are welcomed by our traditional meals and comfortable accommodation. During the rafting descent our guests’ vehicles are parked on a safe and free parking area in the camp. Also, our guests have free wifi access and a lot of exciting and fun events after the rafting. Our camp is located on the river bank in beautiful natural surroundings.

In the Tara canyon there are two starting rafting points:

STARTING POINT 1 - RAFTING FROM BRSTANOVICA, 25 KM OF RAFTING

Brstanovica is one of the most usual and most attractive starting rafting points. It is located in the lower part of the canyon, 25km upstream from our Rafting Camp. The majority of our arrangements include rafting from Brstanovica to our Center which is the most beautiful part of the Tara.

The tours in the lower part of the canyon usually start in the morning. Before breakfast, all the rafting participants give in their IDs based on which the lists are made for their insurance and transport to the starting point. After breakfast the rafting equipment is handed out. Then, at about 11 o’clock the participants are taken to Brstanovica (starting point). It takes about 30-40 min but it can be prolonged to more than 2 hours on Saturdays due to the crowds.

At Brstanovica our guests are divided into boats. From 8 to 10 rafting participants and one skipper-guide can fit into one boat. Before the start the skippers hold a short briefing with all the necessary instructions for our guests. The duration of rafting is 1-4 hours, depending on the water level and the guests’ wishes. During the descent we make many breaks to rest, take photos, swim, etc. Every boat has a special waterproof bag where our guests can put their cameras.

ALL OUR GUESTS SHOULD HAVE SUNSCREEN AND SUNGLASSES (WITH LACES).

All rafting adventures end in our Rafting Center. It is located on the river bank, as well as the pier for boats, just under the terrace of our restaurant where lunch awaits you. Rafting usually ends between 3 and 5 p.m.

STARTING POINT 2 - RAFTING FROM SPLAVISTE, 100KM OF RAFTING

The second rafting point is Splaviste, near Djurdjevica Tara. From that point we start the tour called 4 days from Durmitor. It is a starting point about 100km upstream from our rafting center. If you start your rafting here you will go through the whole Tara canyon.

Rafting through the whole canyon starts earlier in the morning as the drive to the starting point is more than 2 hours long. Before breakfast all the participants give in their IDs in order for insurance and transport lists to be made.

Breakfast is finished by 8.30 a.m. Then the rafting equipment is handed out and the guests are placed into vehicles and leave for Djurdjevica Tara. The drive from our center to Djurdjevica Tara takes you through the most beautiful parts of Durmitor. Along the way we stop a few times to rest and take some photos at the most breathtaking viewpoints.

Upon arrival to Djurdjevica Tara the boats are prepared for the ride and the guests put on rafting equipment taken from our rafting center. Then they are given lunch packets. After the briefing the first part of rafting begins down the upper part of the Tara canyon. The boats go all the way to Radovan Luka where the guests will have dinner and overnight stay in a motel in the deepest part of the Tara canyon. There is no electricity here and the only generator works until 10 p.m. Your job is only to relax and surrender to the untouched nature.

WE ORGANIZE RAFTING TOURS EVERY DAY. YET, WE RECOMMEND YOU TO TRY TO AVOID RAFTING ON SATURDAYS AS IT IS CROWDED EVERYWHERE ALONG THE WAY.
