THEREFORE, BESIDE ADVENTURE, WE OFFER OUR GUESTS HOSPITALITY, A GOOD BITE AND DIFFERENT NATURAL BEVERAGES, PART OF THE OLD HERITAGE OF LOCAL HOSTS AND THE THING WE ARE WELL KNOWN IN THE REGION.

The Tara canyon, with massives of Durmitor, Maglic, Zelengora and the whole area of Old Herzegovina has been home of traditional cuisine for centuries, based on healthy, organic food. All the food we offer in our center is made in the canyon or nearby, the same way our ancestors did it, in the area which is the last oasis of untouched nature in Europe.

The most famous speciality of this area old cream cheese. It is made in huts of fir, covered with wooden shingle, kept in wooden vats or sheep skin. The cheese is collected, in the summer it is golden yellow. It has strong taste and is recommended with baked potatoes, hot bread, muffins-priganica etc. We serve it mainly for dinner and breakfast.

Smoked cheese is made of cow or mixed milk and is smoked in huts with smoked meat, on the fire of beech wood. We serve it for beakfast. It is recommended with ustipci-priganice. Older goat cheese is full-fledged, golden, hard and with a lot of fat, goes well with homemade smoked ham, covered with olive oil. We serve it as hors d'oeuvre.

Local, smoked meat is a real speciality of the area Gornja Drina and Old Herzegovina!

Meat is covered with sea salt and mashed garlic and then dried in huts on beech and hornbeam woods. Often, some herbs or spruce are added on live coals, which give the meat a fantastic aroma. Our dried, smoked meat, bacon, ham and sausage are served as hors d’oeuvre and for breakfast.

The place where the rivers Tara and Piva make the Drina, is known for a long time for the best lamb and kid, made in our center with vegetables under the metal pan or on the skewer. We serve lamb for lunch, after veal soup, with young nettle.

An old Roman proverb

Our homemade bread is a special story, made of barley, rye and buckwheat in ‘sac’ or batch. We serve it with every meal. Hot muffins-priganice are served for breakfast as well as hot muffins made in furnus. Beside the bread made under metal pans we are thee only tourist place known for homemade pies-strudels. Crust for the pie is made on the spot by pur chefs in the same way our grandmothers used to do it. We offer cheese pie, with young sheep or cow cheese and domestic eggs stuffing, spinach pie-made of young spinach or herb called masnik or young nettle, meat pie (burek)-with meat and potao stuffing and potato pie. We also make pie “izljevusa”. The pies are made under metal pans or wood stove. We serve it for dinner and lunch.

For dinner, you can eat homemade polenta, made from corn, minced in watermill, covered with homemade butterfay and cream cheese. Polenta is served with yoghurt.
On the menu, usually for dinner, we also offer brown trout and grayling. Fish from the nearby rivers Drina, Tara, Cehotina, Bistrica, Sutjeska, Hrcavka ... It is prepared on the grill or on the disc harrow.

Grilled meat is also very popular in these parts, so we offer on the menu. As long as it is remembered, these areas are rich in wildlife, and hunting is an essential part of our tradition! So we will serve you meat rolls in Rastan or cabbage with game meat or other specialties of this meat! Among other dishes of meat and “mrs”, we offer a variety of vegetable dishes, so that the rich menu and wait for all vegetarians or vegans!
All vegetables are also homemade, organic, produced in the traditional way, without artificial fertilizers and similar accessories.

And we have a surprise for mushroom lovers, the area where our rafting center is located is rich in mushrooms. Porcini, Rujnica, chanterelle, reduša, kupljenac, oyster mushrooms are offered grilled or garnished with veal. Leading by the old saying “You are what you drink” we offer only homemade, natural brandy, wine and soft drinks, authentic products of this region.
The best known is pear brandy made of wild pears - “divurica”, plum brandy made of Drinska Požegača plum, and brandy. You will be served the highest quality wines of Herzegovina, local “Vranac” and golden yellow local “Žilavka” are the most famous and our house wine, but you will have the chance to try the others as well!


Dinner - the first night of arrival: Baked potatoes and cream cheese, homemade bread from furnace, salad, game meat rolls in rastan or cabbage, homemade barbecued hamburgers, grilled meat, pies made under the iron pan.

The first breakfast:Homemade dried ham, prosciutto, bacon, pork scratching and dried sausage. Hot doughnuts, hot muffins, homemade cheese, cream cheese made in wooden vats. Eggs and omelette with extras on demand. Tea, yoghurt. Sweet, honey, jam, chocolate cream.

Menu for the first lunch:Veal soup, barley bread made under metal pan, salad. Lamb, kid, or veal made under metal pan with potatoes and peppers, spiced with rosemary. Homemade pies made under metal pan, for dessert baklava, ruzice and tulumbe.

Menu for the second dinner: Brown trout and grayling, pura with cream cheese, cheese pie, spinach pie and meat pie made under metal pan.

Breakfast:Homemade dried ham,prosciutto, bacon,pork scratchings and dried sausage. VHot doughnuts, hot muffins, homemade cheese, creamcheese from the hut. Eggs and omelette with optional extras. Tea, yoghurt. Sweet, honey, jam, chocolate cream.

Menu for your second lunch: Veal or lamb soup, barley bread made under metal pan, salad, meat roll with homemade smoked ham, steak in boletus sauce, moussaka. For dessert-ruzice, baklava.
