For more than a quarter of a century, our Rafting Center Drina–Tara has been living in the rhythm of one of Europe’s most beautiful rivers and the adrenaline it brings. Recently, however, we have expanded that experience into an entirely new dimension - slower, calmer, and relaxing - for lovers of nature and outdoor relaxation. In the heart of our rafting camp, we have created a beautiful natural beach, a place where energy is not spent, but renewed.

Located in the very center of the camp, right next to the turquoise, crystal-clear river, below the lower terrace of our restaurant and cocktail bar, the beach offers a unique contrast: on one side, the power of the river and the canyon; on the other, silence, relaxation, and complete connection with nature. The setting, with reed sun umbrellas and wooden loungers, evokes romantic tropical landscapes while preserving the authentic mountain character of the river and the surrounding mountains.

Location and Access to the Beach

The beach is located within the 'Rafting Center Drina-Tara' complex and is easily accessible to all guests. It can be reached in just a few steps by descending the stairs below the lower terrace of the restaurant. For visitors arriving from outside the camp, a well-maintained access road and parking area are provided next to the camp, making the beach accessible to everyone as a day-use destination for relaxation.

Who Can Use the Beach

The beach is intended for:

• guests staying at our Rafting Center Drina–Tara,
• guests of the restaurant and cocktail bar,
• day visitors, in accordance with the center’s rules.

Children may use the beach and swimming area exclusively under constant supervision by parents or guardians.

Beach Services and Amenities

The beach has been arranged with special attention to comfort and the natural environment. Wooden loungers with comfortable mattresses are available, along with straw reed umbrellas and natural shade that provides pleasant shelter during hot summer days.

Direct access to our cocktail bar allows continuous waiter service, enabling guests to enjoy refreshing drinks, cocktails, traditional coffee, and light meals without leaving the beach. A special detail that many guests remember is a large wooden trough in which drinks are cooled in cold river water — a small but authentic symbol of summer enjoyment by the river.

Swimming Area and River Characteristics

The swimming area is clearly marked with floats and buoys and features a gradual entry into the water. The river is mountain-fed, exceptionally clean, and refreshing, making it ideal for cooling off during summer. Water temperature depends on the season and water level, while spending time in the river provides a genuine feeling of reconnecting with nature.

Safety and Conditions of Use

Swimming is permitted exclusively during daylight hours and at one’s own responsibility. For the safety of all guests:

• Swimming is not allowed after 8:00 PM.
• Risky behavior in the water is prohibited,
• Special caution is recommended when consuming alcohol.

Observing these rules is mandatory to ensure a pleasant and safe stay for all visitors.

Beach Capacity and Layout

The beach offers approximately one hundred lounge spots, arranged in two larger sections. Between them is a docking area for rafting boats, as the Rafting Center Drina–Tara also serves as the final destination and endpoint of all rafting descents on the Tara River. This layout creates a unique blend of rafting dynamics and complete relaxation.

Opening Hours and Season

The beach is open during the rafting season, throughout the summer months, with operating hours aligned with the camp and cocktail bar schedule. In the evening, the beach is closed to preserve peace and the natural atmosphere of our rafting center.
