May Day Rafting 2026 - Party and Concert Program

The rafting program for May Day 2026 begins as early as Thursday, April 30, and lasts a full three days.

📅 Thursday, April 30, 2026 – Concert by Sladja Allegro

The May Day holidays begin with a major concert by Sladja Allegro, followed by an evening party and social gathering in the camp. This evening is the main party and the central event of the May Day holidays, as well as an introduction to a weekend filled with music, rafting, and great fun.

📅 Friday, May 1, 2026 – Concert by Maja Jevtic and 'Istureno Odjeljenje' band

The central day of the holiday brings a live performance by Maja Jevtic & Istureno Odjeljenje. May Day on the Tara is traditionally reserved for a great atmosphere, live music, and evening entertainment that continues late into the night.

📅 Saturday, May 2, 2026 – Concert by Jovan Marković & Trinity Band

The final evening of the May Day rafting event is reserved for a concert by Jovan Marković & Trinity Band. This energetic live performance concludes the three-day May Day program on the Tara, delivering a perfect finale with music, socializing, and an unforgettable atmosphere in the camp.

The Biggest May Day Celebration in the Region Is on the Tara River

Rafting Center Drina–Tara is the largest active holiday center in the region, with accommodation capacity of over 500 beds, unique in that it is located directly on the riverbank. The camp features large landscaped beaches, natural pools, and a large dock for rafting boats, as all rafting tours through the most beautiful section of the Tara River end at our center.

May Day rafting on the Tara in 2026 brings three days of entertainment, live concerts, new river beaches, and adrenaline rafting, with a rich program announcement and the possibility of timely reservations.

Although we start the rafting season as early as late March, and often offer promotional weekends for Easter, May Day rafting remains a tradition longer than a quarter of a century and is considered the best celebration in the region. For decades, May Day rafting has been known as the beginning of the “real” season.

For many years, on April 30, Rafting Center Drina–Tara has been organizing a major concert and the biggest rafting party. In previous seasons, numerous well-known performers have appeared, such as Amadeus Band, Tropico Band, Dženan Lončarević, Lapsus Band, Dejan Matić, and many others. In the 2026 season, the main party is led by Sladja Allegro, so the top atmosphere will not be missing this year either.

April 30 represents the central event and the biggest concert, but true rafting enthusiasts know that this is only the introduction. Once you experience the energy and the music delivered by the band Istureno Odjeljenje, you will realize that the best fun on the Tara continues on Friday and Saturday as well. Parties and live music last all three evenings, while the days between concerts are reserved for outdoor activities that recharge energy in the best possible way.

Daily Activities During the May Day Holidays

Each day, guests can choose from various activities tailored to this time of year. We organize daily rafting tours through the most beautiful section of the Tara River, 4×4 safari tours, ATV Quad short or full-day canyon expeditions, E-bike tours in Sutjeska National Park, and, depending on snow conditions, hiking tours to Zelengora and Trnovačko Lake.

All activities are led by our licensed guides, while the skipper team of Rafting Center Drina–Tara, consisting of around 30 experienced professionals (each with hundreds of descents every season), ensures that every water activity is safe and a true pleasure.

For those who want a day or two without active excursions, our incredibly beautiful beaches on the very bank of the turquoise river, under straw umbrellas, are perfect for relaxation, sunbathing, and enjoying nature.

Adrenaline Rafting on the Tara – The Central Part of the May Day Experience

Of course, rafting on the Tara River remains the heart of the entire program. The river water level at the beginning of May provides ideal conditions for dynamic and safe rafting, suitable both for those experiencing this adventure for the first time and for experienced rafters.

All activities are led by our licensed guides, while the skipper team of Rafting Center Drina–Tara, consisting of around 30 experienced professionals, each with hundreds of descents every season, guarantees that every water activity will be safe and a true enjoyment. With experienced skippers, complete equipment, and a carefully selected, most attractive route, rafting during the May Day holidays is an adrenaline adventure that is remembered for a long time.

We organize rafting tours every day during the May Day holidays, as well as other activities. At the beginning of May, in addition to rafting, ATV Quad adventures, 4×4 safari tours, and E-bike tours will be available, and depending on snow conditions, some hiking tours as well. Also, right next to our camp is the starting point for a Zip-line flight across the canyon.

Stay Dates and Flexible Accommodation Options – May Day 2026

For the May Day holidays, we offer several different accommodation options:

- If you choose a package with two overnight stays, accommodation is available for the periods April 29 – May 1 or May 1 – May 3.

- If you wish to join us already for the main concert by Slađa Allegro and the central party on April 30, the minimum stay is three overnight stays, from April 30 to at least May 3, with the possibility of extension.

We offer several different packages with three or more overnight stays, and additionally, there is a flexible option to add one more overnight stay with two meals to a two-night package, for €40 per person for standard accommodation, or €50 per person for Deluxe bungalows.

For camp guests, all concert tickets for all three evenings are included in the package price.

Homemade Food and Local Specialties

What we are widely known for, and what is our trademark, in addition to top organization and family-style hospitality, is our famous traditional cuisine for all meals. Such rich, authentic traditional cuisine can only be experienced at Rafting Center Drina–Tara.

May Day rafting at Rafting Center Drina–Tara also includes homemade food adapted to active outdoor stays - hearty and fresh meals. During the stay in the camp for May Day rafting, our guests are served meals prepared in a traditional way, using fresh ingredients from the canyon and the surrounding area of the Tara River.

New, Landscaped Camp Beaches – 2026 Season

For the 2026 season, Rafting Center Drina–Tara presents newly landscaped river beaches within the camp itself, with a capacity of over 100 places. The beaches are located directly on the riverbank and are intended for daytime rest, sunbathing, swimming, and relaxation between rafting and evening programs. The beaches are connected to our cocktail bar by just a few steps, allowing guests to enjoy cocktails, refreshing drinks, and light music from the bar.

The natural environment, sun loungers, and direct contact with the river provide a perfect balance between adrenaline and peace, making May Day rafting on the Tara a complete experience.
