During the previous few rafting seasons in our Rafting Center Drina-Tara we have been getting a lot of similar questions from our guests. We have answered some of the most common ones related to rafting on the Tara, rafting arrangements, accommodation, organization, etc. Take a few minutes and read the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions of our guests:
1. Is Tara rafting organized only at weekends or every day?
We organize rafting tours and all other outdoor activities every day, and for most arrangements there is no minimum number of participants. So, for example, if there are two of you and you want to go rafting, jeep safari, hiking, ATV quads, canyoning, etc., you can plan to stay with us anytime during the week or at the weekend. However we do recommend coming during the week because it is less crowded both on the way to us, and during the activities.
2. When does the rafting season on Tara start/end?
The rafting season starts as early as late March or early April, with the first beautiful days of spring, and lasts until the mid-October.
3. What is the difference between Lux and standard accommodation?
Lux bungalows and apartments have bathrooms within the accommodation unit, while standard bungalows guests can use showers and toilettes in the facility within our complex.
4. At what age can children go rafting on the Tara?
Everyone over the age of 8 can go rafting, but note that in the spring months (April and May) this age limit is raised depending on the spring water level.
5. How early is it necessary to make a reservation for rafting?
It is never too early to get in touch and make an initial reservation, especially for weekend arrangements - often a month in advance. On weekdays, there are less crowds, so sometimes it is possible to book a few days in advance or for the next day.
6. Is there a difference between rafting arrangements at weekends and on weekdays?
Yes. At weekends we have live gigs and bigger parties, while on weekdays it is calmer and more suitable for a family vacation. If you want more socializing and music in the evening - book Friday and Saturday.
7. What type of accommodation can be booked?
The vast majority of our bungalows are Lux bungalows (with bathrooms inside), and a smaller part are standard bungalows. We also have apartments in a brick building in our camp.
8. When is check-in and check-out at the Drina-Tara Rafting Center?
The recommended arrival time for most arrangements (starting with dinner) is around 6pm to 7pm, but this is not a binding schedule. Every night, dinner awaits our guests even at midnight, so there is no need to hurry. Check-out depends on the specific arrangement you have chosen. Some arrangements end after breakfast, and some late in the afternoon, after activities and lunch. Everything is tailored to you as guests and we are very flexible in that regard.
Is there a parking lot for cars and is it free?
Within the complex there is a secured parking lot with a guard. Parking is free.
10. Is there an internet? Is there free Wi-Fi in the camp?
Yes. It is a wireless (satellite) system, because we are far from the urban environment. If the quality of the Internet is especially important to you, you should know that we are covered by 3g or 4g signal of mobile networks Mtel BiH and Mtel Montenegro.
We hope that you find some helpful answers. If you have any more questions, please write to us. See you on the Tara river rafting! :)
